Last updated: 8 September 2026

This policy explains what we do with your personal information when you contact Killarney Clean Co. or when we clean for you. We keep it short and plain. If anything here isn't clear, ask us and we'll explain it.

Who we are

What we collect

  • Your name, phone number, email address and the details you type into the contact form or send us on WhatsApp.
  • Details about the property we're quoting for or cleaning — type of property, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, address, access arrangements and any notes you give us.
  • Records of the work we do for you, appointment dates, and payment records such as invoices and bank transfer references.
  • For holiday lets, photographs of the property after a changeover, sent to the owner as their record of the turnover.

We don't ask for special category data (health, religion and the like), and please don't send it to us. We don't knowingly collect information about children.

The price calculator

The price calculator on our site works entirely in your own browser. Your answers aren't sent to us or stored anywhere unless you choose to press a button that sends them to us on WhatsApp or through the contact form. You can get a price without giving us your name or email.

Cookies and website data

We don't use advertising or tracking cookies on this site. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and shows a map from Google Maps, so those services may see your IP address and basic device information when the page loads. That's how those services work; we don't receive that information ourselves.

How we use your information

  • To answer your enquiry and give you a price.
  • To arrange, carry out and keep a record of the cleaning work.
  • To invoice you and keep our accounts in order.
  • To contact you about a booking, a change of time, or a problem at the property.

Our legal grounds are: taking steps at your request before entering a contract and performing that contract; our legitimate interest in running and keeping records of the business; and legal obligations such as tax and accounting rules. We only send marketing messages if you've asked for them, and you can stop them any time.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your information and we don't share it for advertising. We share it only where we have to:

  • WhatsApp (Meta Platforms Ireland) when you message us there — the message content sits in that service as well as on our phone.
  • Our email provider (Google) where enquiries and correspondence are stored.
  • Our accountant and Revenue, for invoices, tax and accounting records.
  • Our own cleaners, who see only what they need to do the job at your property.
  • Anyone we're legally required to give it to.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, they rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision to keep the transfer lawful.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don't turn into work: up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Customer and job records, including changeover photographs: for the length of the arrangement and up to 2 years after the last clean.
  • Invoices and accounting records: 6 years, as Irish tax law requires.

Keeping it safe

Access is limited to the people who need it. Phones and accounts used for the business are protected with a passcode or password and, where the service offers it, two-step verification. Keys and alarm codes are held securely and never labelled with an address. If there's ever a breach that puts you at risk, we'll tell you and the Data Protection Commission as the law requires.

Your rights

Under the GDPR and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018 you can ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict or stop using it, object to us using it, and ask for it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Email killarneycleanco@gmail.com and we'll come back to you within one month. There's no charge.

Complaints

If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, tell us first and we'll try to sort it. You can also complain to the Data Protection Commission, 21 Fitzwilliam Square South, Dublin 2, D02 RD28 — dataprotection.ie.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and change the date at the top. This version applies from 8 September 2026.
